Waiting on the plane to return from an overnight, should be here late afternoon.
Last night was a bicycle ride on the Illinois Beach trails, followed by a campfire in the back yard, then watching Lonesome Dove. Ah, summer! (7&

You should have Straw Hat sharpen your mower blade. The job might go easier.
I always just buy a new blade. Then I can save the old blade to make into a knife!  L@.

Took a little ride on Saturday morning. (I know it's Monday but couldn't post until now).    This is Hawk Springs Wyoming.  Went to visit my daughter on the ranch there.   Zach (son in law) needed to check cattle Saturday morning so I helped him out a little.   We rode for a couple hours and looked over about 500 new bulls he took delivery of earlier in the week.
It was a really nice morning and we finished before the weather got too hot.   A really nice start to the day.

Hi mike116, that looks like FUN! I have done this a few times around Wyo. and KS.  ;)

Right now, I'm spray painting some .45 and 9mm lead bullets Zombie Green!  L@.

mike116,

The angle of the second picture looks familiar.  Haven't seen it in quite a few years but at one time I did a good bit of riding.  Maybe I need to saddle up again.

I recommend it.
I don't get the opportunity often enough anymore but when I do,  I take it.  My son is a ranch manager and so is my son in law so the horses, tack, and range land are accessible.  For some reason everything looks better when you are sitting on a horse.

Haven't done anything yet, but when I got up this morning, the backyard was full of quail and white-winged doves.

My circular saw isn't big enough to cut the landscape timbers I need to cut, I have no gas for the chainsaw, and the bow saw is missing in action. On the plus side, I found an all-in-one rotary saw set I forgot I had.

My mother-in-law has a doctor's appointment today. She headed out the front door, then came right back in mumbling about needing a hat. Without even thinking about it, I said "You're really old. No one cares how big a rat's nest your hair is." There was a moment of horrified silence on her part before she rushed into the bathroom to check her hair.

I imagine I'll hear about this later from my wife, because her mommy won't say anything to me about it. She'll go scream at my wife about what a d*** I am.

Hi, I'm getting ready to have my daughter and son-in-law come out for the 4th. He has a 5.5" Remington so I loaded a number of 1858 cylinders with 30gr by volume Black and balls. He will even get to shot my 1866 Remington Carbine with conversion cylinders and .45 Colt. I also have a Traditions .69 caliber cannon and have the powder and wads ready to do some July 4th salutes. Also ready is a 4" S&W 625-3 .45 ACP revolver and tanker holster ready to go. I have more .45 ACP reloads than both of us can carry. I suspect I will fatigue him long before we shoot more than 200rds.

The weather looks great for shooting at my range and I look forward to a fun 4th.

My private range:

I hope each of you have as much fun as I expect to have.

Regards,
Richard
