The Dec. '16 and Jan. '17 Muzzle Blasts magazine has an article "Samuel Colt's Texas Paterson Revolver on the Frontier - History, Mysrety and Myth".  It starts out with a brief history about the Colt No. 5 revolver and then documents battles and skirmishes where the Paterson was used. Quite interesting and informative.

I shoot the monthly matches with the local muzzleloader society. I believe they are associated with the NMLRA. I pay dues to the club where we shoot but I should really to join the NMLRA.
