An Older Photo
« on: November 27, 2017, 08:40:39 PM »
Crossed through some ol stomping grounds recently and remembered that I took some pics at this location of the Rogers & Spencer. Started digging through my older photos and found one. Felt like sharing it. A very fine revolver it is. Shame that I don't pack it anymore, but I am not ready to turn it loose just yet.

I still don't have an R&S.   If I find a good one I'll get it but they are a little scarce.    Once in a while I see one on GunBroker but I don't really like to buy from unknown entities.

Nice Photo,  I think I remember that one.

Wow great photo/revolver Scoob. If you ever offload that Rogers you already have an impressive catalog photo for it.

Hi scooby, great photo of a very nice revolver, thanks for posting it.

You could have a great career being a graphic artist for gun magazines.

Regards,
Richard

Nice photo as usual and a great gun! The R&S is a different animal to be sure, but  like mine enough that I plan on keeping it.

I keep coming back to this page to look because Scooby did such a nice job with the photograph, and because I have always wanted a Rogers & Spencer.

They really are a damn fine revolver. Built hell for stout. Better than a Remington. There is nothing that compares to them as far as fit and feel. A bit more complex to strip down than a Remington, but easy enough. Had they been originally produced earlier, I would argue that they would have been a more significant piece in the historical archives. If one is into reproduction percussion revolvers, the Rogers & Spencer should be at the top of the list.
