Rehabbing pond
« on: May 31, 2018, 02:54:40 PM »
Almost done rehabbing the pond. Actually, the liner is in, it's filled, the filters are running, and the fish and plants are back in. Still have to finish the edging, and repot the one bunch of water irises. I'd put in Blue Gill, but Game and Fish says "no".

I take it that you do not get cold winters.  &\?

Not terrifically. We get snow occasionally, but it never sticks. The fish winter over in the pond quite well.

As soon as we moved our water lilies back into the big pond, they went nuts. They are exploding new pads, and started blooming a few days ago.

This one is called a Pink Grapefruit. We also have one called Texas Dawn. We have a few other varieties, but I'm not sure what they're called.

The Pink Grapefruit next to the severely restricted water irises...

EM, that is looking great! Your hard work has paid off. I'm thinking that is going to be a good relaxing, stress reliever.

That is so neat Miner!  L@.

We have a little pond here in the backyard. It was here when we bought this house. We might get it back to working and put a few fish in it.
