Hi, my son-in-law and I put the Old Silver 1860 with stainless .45 Colt conversion cylinder through its paces yesterday. Fired 200rds at steel targets, there's nothing like a steel gong orchestra. Not one hiccup with the Old Silver.

This message board has been pretty quiet lately. I hope it is that most members are out shooting and don't have time for posting?

Ordered an AR550 1/2x12" gong to use with high powered rifle:

The steel orchestra keeps getting bigger and louder.  )l_ )l_

Regards,
Richard

Nice looking revolver Richard. Glad you were able to get your moneys worth out of it.

I actually just got back from vacation a little bit ago, but now I'm back to post random stuff again. Good going with the Old Silver Richard!

The 1/2x12" AR550 gong arrived yesterday. Today I painted it white. The gong with the paint drying:

My other targets are AR500 steel. This target should take hits without damage when using high power rifles. High power rifles would leave small pits on AR500 steel.

Now where to put the new AR550 gong:

No, bending over isn't isn't an appropriate answer.  *6' *6' *6'

Richard

Richard, I do confess to being a bit envious of your BP range. If I could step out onto that daily, I'd have a lot more to talk about.

Hi Kirk, what is really important to you? Move to rural property where you can set up a shooting range. You will not be sorry and find that the appreciation of land value never goes down.

Land that has hills useless for farming is pretty low cost. Hilly property is perfect for shooting.

Do you value of the quality of life? Don't whisper Rosebud and don't be envious, move!

Regards,
Richard
