Thanks, but this one came with a problem. This carbine in 38 Special almost appears to be unfired. When I tried to chamber a round, I think I know why. The bore is mint, but the cartridge wouldn't chamber fully. Someone suggested the chamber might be dirty, so I slotted a wood rod, inserted it through the bore and put a folded strip of 400 grit wet or dry paper in the slot. I ran a drill with the rod at slow speed, working it back and forth. It did appear that some "crud" was present. Checked and repeated several times. The chamber is still a bit snug, but will chamber a round now. I am hoping that with some shooting, the carbine will function well. Others (on-line forums) have said their same guns are smooth and dependable. We'll see how this one works out.

The brass frame has started to "dull down" a bit and with use will acquire the patina I like. The cost wasn't inexpensive, but still about ~$600 less than new ones are bringing.
