walker story
« on: January 31, 2015, 10:18:23 AM »
So i bought an ASM colt address Walker off of auction arms for $240 shipped a while back. I got some 285gn conicals and loaded one chamber up with 30 or 40 grains of powder (i dont remember) and blew the cylinder... see pic

So i searhced around and around and around and finally found a cylinder for it from mazo kid for about $20. well while searching for a cylinder i dropped a $20 bid on a barrel on ebay and won that for another $20. so....

i have very little money into the gun and figured i should do something cool with it using the spare barrel...

Nice little pocket gun huh? lol

I like it!   It should be a blast to shoot. I have an 1860 Army "Thunderer" with a 3 " barrel. With 30gr of Pyrodex, that is fun to shoot. Two hand hold at 10 yards, keeps shots under 2 inches. I haven't started to work up a load for it yet. To say I like it is a under statement. Some times I take it with me instead of my Ruger SP 101 357 Mag,3 inch barrel, I have a permit to carry.  Post a pic when that beast goes off, that would be something!!!  On the cylinder blowing out,my guess is the bullet not seated tight against the powder. That or smokeless powder.  Some people have no idea that there is a difference.  Hey,gun powder is gun powder.  (??
