Welcome to long guns!
« on: March 15, 2016, 09:31:48 AM »
Welcome to the new Long Guns section!
I hope you will share your love and appreciation of those famous long guns of the old west...the ones that (IMHO) "won the west" more so than even the Colt SAA. Feel free to share your BPCR loads as well in the BP Reloading thread.
And if you're one of those individuals that have a rare repro (or original!) one-off like a Spencer, Henry, Whitworth, etc. PLEASE post it and some photos as well!

This is great! Lots of stuff I wrote about long guns on my web site www.rvbprecision.com

Lining a barrel of an old Winchester 1873
Building a Ballard
Bringing another 1873 back from the dead
More

Hope you enjoy it!

Didn't know that was allowed. Only problem is they are photo intensive and the photos won't come over with a copy and paste. I'd need to get a 10 year old grandkid to figure that one out for me!

Just enjoyed a quick scan of your Web sight. Read up on a good portion of the writeup on the reline job for the 38-40 WCF Model 1873. Outstanding!

They will if they are included as part of the text, and not an 'attachment'.

It's a fascinating story. Love the way you saved an original, and even better is the way it shoots!
Kudos to you, Roy!
