pietta blank guns
« on: June 23, 2015, 02:05:59 PM »
Hey everyone!,

I happen to own (by inheritance) a couple of brass frame pietta blank fire
Revolvers. One looks like an 1860 army and the other a 1851 navy. They shoot a cartridge
Called a 9mm knall. Does anyone know anything about these? Value and such?

Thanks

Just a wild-ass guess I'd say 150 each? That's about average for a normal brasser. Doubt the blank conversion has any value, but I could be wrong. You never know what's collectible and/or desirable these days.

Captain, I am not sure it is a brass framed revolver WITH a blank firing conversion.  I believe Pietta made this as a purpose built blank firing revolver.  As such, the value would be less.

kwc271, a photo would help us figure out what you own.

I found this, a 9mm blank firing revolver.

I'll try and get some pics up. They are pretty cool looking revolvers, they are just a novelty I guess. From what little I could find about them they seem to be geared towards the British market.
