Tenderfoot from Florida
« on: November 24, 2015, 12:38:01 PM »
I've had a Remmy or Remmys for quite a long time and finally decided to explore the way of the Colt by purchasing an 1860 Army from Cabela's last week.  I haven't received it yet but I'm already looking at all the possible improvements it could get if needed, though I have been reading that the recent production pistols are coming out of the factory without any problems.
I'm patiently waiting for the package to come.

Welcome to the forum Steamburn.   Glad you have decided to try out a Colt model.    I suggest you shoot your new 1860 for a while before deciding what modifications or fixes it needs.  After getting the hang of the Colt style revolver the things you may want to change will be more apparent.

Welcome, Steamburn! Yes, the new Piettas are night and day from the older versions. I agree that you should try it out before deciding what you like/don't like.

Welcome, Steamburn!

+4.  I think you will be happy with your decision to try out the Colts.  Make sure you have plenty in your bank account, cause you're gonna want more.   (7+" ;)

A grand Buckeye welcome!  Not sure what you would shoot if you don't have Colts so stick around and keep your options open.

Welcome! You will probably need a second revolver for your other hand. It could get expensive. (@+ 8)
