Old 1860s, New Photos
« on: January 30, 2016, 12:05:36 PM »
I have had these for quite a while but decided to take new photos.  (The website is not arguing with me since I got a new camera.)

Both of these are built by Uberti.

I like the full fluted cylinders.  These pair up well with my 1861s.

I prefer apple cider, unpasteurized, and left in the jug for a few months!

I missed this new thread somehow. Anyway, awesome 1860's Kevin. The full fluted profile has a unique look to it.

They are all fully fluted cylinders.  The top two are 1860s and the bottom two are 1861s.

And somehow, I succeeded in posting the same photo twice.  In the same thread.  Sometimes, I wonder about me.

A good one is a good one. No matter how many times one will post it, it will remain a pleasure to watch.
I love those fluted cylinders too. On a photograph, I often find it difficult to tell whether the cylinder is fluted or not, as the fluting can be mistaken for a shade or a reflection on the cylinder, especially when said cylinder is blank.

Guys,  all of us should copy and store this quote as it is a perfect example of how to diplomatically tell someone they take crappy photos (7+"

Whoooopsssss.....   seems like my fast fingers betrayed me once again...  :-\
So, my eyes betray me so I cannot clearly see a fluting, my fingers betray me so I cannot clearly type what I mean... I'm lucky my hands still do their job properly and don't spill my wine when I try and have a drink...
