What Pietta calls an 1862 is really thier version of the 1861 revolver.  Not a bad revolver but not an 1862.

Yep, a 6 shot navy sized cylinder on a navy sized frame. A better name for that particular Pietta would have been "1861 Sheriff"

Everyone that owns one seems to like them very well.

I have an 1861 Pietta that I swapped out the 8 inch bbl. with a 5 1/2 inch bbl. It now resembles the "1862 Police" Pietta version except without the half fluted cylinder.

Why no, Kirk, I actually don't now that I think on it. I never have taken a pic of it since the swap. I will remedy that issue soon.
