I still don't know what you're asking about Titegroup. It's just another smokeless powder in the faster burning rate. Not as fast as Bullseye, but close.
Never had a problem with TB in my measures.

I was asking if it was the same as Tight Group in simularities if any or not ... that's all. I saw the Trailboss in little soft donut granules ... Don't know what Tightgroup looks like shoots like feels like or accuracy ... I now nothing else about either never used either. yes Cheesy

OK, like I said, TG is a fast burning pistol powder that is small flakes, where like you said, TB is like Cherrios. TB is slightly slower burning than TG, but very close.

Thanks S4B now I got it ... I just never had the need or want to try other than what I knew before that stuff was out ... had been a long time since I'd need for reloading even BP Carts ... just ,38spl& .357mags ... 45/70s were all BP ... I'm from unique, Bullseye. 2400, 231, 4320, 3031, 4064,  4198, BLC2 school I guess and know what to do with um. All else is C&B or Flint ... SGs, military, .22 & Rimfires. hey

Winchester made loads for rifles and revovlers are made to be fired in good condition firearms.  The factory stuff is safe in any firearm in decent condition.  The "very good condition ... good bore and action... "makes me think it would be safe.

That's a nice rifle Smokin Gun. Glad you finally procurred one. I had one long time ago with the shotgun type butt plate. Mine shot the 170gr. bullets the best. By Remington I thunk.
They say when gettin an old rifle the head space should be checked afer firin. You wouldn't want a case separation or anything.
Don't let anyone steal this one.Hide it good. Hide it at my house.  lol3
You'll have to find a bluff in the desert......watch fer coyotes while lookin at yer Winchester and the sunset.
Anywhooooo....glad for yas and yer DAD must be smilin up there somewhere.
This was a long thread to look over. One a the longest yet I guess. All yer forum Buddies are glad fer ya.
I gotta go get something done. Lots to do and little time to do it.
When I sit in the yard (if I get done with chores before dark and the dew sets in)after Jen feeds the fish and the PUPS and I'm lookin at my Winchester leanin on the crabapple tree I thunk of yas.
I showed Jen the pics you posted. She said you must be real happy bout that rifle. Funny....when I was eatin some venison last nite you came to mind. You must be gonna be a goin huntin with that rifle. You can shoot good nuff....reload good nuff......hunt good nuff.....all you need is a good place to sit and wait fer the critters to come out......maybe by water.

I'm workin' on that thought as we speak Wink
