I am facinated by the time period before metallic cartridges came into the picture. I really enjoy reading about Jesse james know that he prefered colts. In his pic as a young man he has what appears to be 3 1860 colts on his person. Does anyone have a good source of information about this time period. Historically correct BP rev rigs, outlaws and lawmen, etc. ?    flat      gun5

There are a couple of books about period leather gear, I can't recall titles but others here may remember.

Other info can be gleaned from forums dedicated to the cowboy sports and reenacting.

Knowledge should be shared, not hoarded.

Knowledge I take to my grave, is wasted.

I prefer to use cartridges designed before my Father was born!
