Well I went to our 22 shoot, same game, reduced targets from 100yds. out to 200yds. I have never shot this one before so it was a little different but actually easier because of not dealing with the BP. I used a Winchester Low Wall in 22LR with a MVA scope just like we use on the BPCR. It is not my rifle it belonged to another shooter that runs the match and shoots the big guns also. I shot a 29 score and took first place in the scoped class, and out shot everyone except one shooter, he shot a 31, using iron sights. He kicked my butt on them rascal chickens again. They make a 22 barrel liner to put in the 45-70's so I think I will buy one to go in my Shiloh and kick their butts. Had a lot of fun and brought a first place medal home.  dance

Congrats. Good shootin.
Yup, gotta give that a try some day. Sounds like a blast.
If you put a liner in the Shiloh, will it not be a lot more muzzle-heavy? I suppose that could be a good thing.
Do they put you in classes like the other shoots?

Thanks guys, Chad you are welcome to join us anytime you get ready, just let me know. S4B, the Shiloh is already 12#, it is muzzle heavy anyway. I don't know what the liner weighs. The Shiloh will be a little more heavier than a 22 rifle, that would be a little harder shooting offhand at the chickens. Some of these guys have $3000 in a 22 rifle, I just can't see that when I can buy a liner for $150 and they are just as accurate. You know it is a shame that most of the people that get into this type of shooting wait till they are middle aged and the eyes are not hardly what they could be, I wish I had done some of this in my 20's instead of chasing white tails day and night. Yea, both of them. laugh

You just gave me an idea ... I have a few .22 Rifles and all I'd need is a small type BP stock like a .32 or .36 cal Hawkens stock to drop a Sears Model 25 semi auto .22 receiver and barrel in... heh heh ...I might look for a new stock for my Miroku Tennessee Poorboy and drop a .22 in the one I repaired ... naw that'd be way too much fun I think laugh
