I bought an interesting toy for my Shiloh 45-70. I got a .22 liner to go in her and I'm having a ball! I had forgot how much fun you can have with a .22 rifle. It was $150, slides right in the barrel and it has a match grade chamber and is capable of shooting master scores in competition. I got a 1.5" swinger hanging in the back yard and practicing shooting offhand at around 30 yds. The neat thing about it is I'm using my competition rifle with the same sights and feel of shooting the 45-70 with out the punch. This way I can develop the best hold and practice trigger control and breathing. I have already learned alot from shooting it just 2 days. I think this will really pay off for my competition scores on those dang chickens offhand at 200m. You really can't find what works best in a competition shoot, you need to do that somewhere else and the .22 liner alloys me to do just that. I have a .22 competition shoot this coming Sat. and I'll get to try her out. It is a lot of fun shooting a full sized sharps that is a .22 cal. SG, you would really this thing. Smiley

Dang Peckerhead that Sounds like a kick for sure ... Guess I'll have to stick with my Winchester Mod. 270 Pump one a few of the other .22 rifles i have ... one a them wun't work well in my 1863 Sharps  Cheesy
But I do like my .22's that's a fact...I 'll have to take note on how you do with that one, @ $150 that's a steal.
