I brought two oldies to the range today - the 10 ga double barrel shotgun and the Remington NMA.
I finally got the loading and shooting technique down for the shotgun.  It was flawless - no misfires, no mistakes on my part.  I used only 60 grs of FFG and an equal amount of shot.  It fired every time.  After I was done shooting the club president showed me how to use the thrower at the trap range.  I'll try it next time.
The Remington NMA came with two repro cylinders - one fits, one doesn't.  I started with the repro cylinder that fits but it didn't work so well.  It kept jamming and binding so I switched to the original cylinder that came with the gun.  Perfect.  I used 25 - 30 grs of FFFG and .454 roundballs (they did not shave a ring).  Very accurate gun once I figured out where it was shooting.  No cap jams, no binding (Bore Butter over the balls). I did not mind shooting this original - it could be an every day shooter.

Plywood target front (the pellets did not go through)

back (some of the holes are old)

Remington at 25 yds

Check out the coloring on the hammer

SG, did you make it to the range?  It's good for the soul.  When you get to NY we'll go shooting in Vt or NY.
I just went to Walmart and bought 90 clay birds for under $8.00.  I didn't know they were so cheap.  I might try my luck with the 10 ga tomorrow.
