Does anyone have info on 6.5" NMA Navy Remingtons pls?
« on: October 01, 2011, 05:43:09 PM »
Howdy,

I just picked up an NMA Navy that I believed originally to be 'chop shopped' to 6 1/2" barrel length.
There is a full thread on the Remington1858 board. I will link it below.
Now I find that one of the members (Smoking Gun) states that this length was available from factory.
Edit - SG says he got his numbers confused with all that Remmie stuff he has bumping around in his head.
In the short amount of research time that I have had, I cannot find any photos' or solid reference to this.  Can anyone point me in the right directions?
It maybe that I have to go and buy a lot more books!
