« on: December 01, 2013, 05:39:03 PM »
1st - It's has an octagon barrel with serial numbers and proof stamps
2nd - The bottom is a stamp with assuming serial 209.
3rd - someone scribed there name in it as well by the handle stamp
4th - It's Italy

Other then that pictures is all I have.

Any help would be great.

It is a non historically accurate brass framed copy of a .44 caliber Remington New Model Army revolver (otherwise known as a '58 Remington).  It was manufactured by Pierino Ruschetta (The PR on the backstrap) and imported by Firearms Importers & Exporters (The FIE on the backstrap).  It was made in 1975 (the AA in the box on the right side of the frame).  The brass framed copies are sometimes referred to as Texas Remingtons; but there were never any brass framed Remington Army copies made in the 1800s.

It's also in really rough shape and the grips are a mess - how bad is the bore does it match the rest of it?

You could make a snake gun out of it if the bore is too bad.
