Just a guess, but first I'd say it is not an Army but a '61 Navy and its in the wrong box. Like I say just a guess.

Here are the photos of the G & G style in .44 cal The date is AB, the left side of the barrel has the usual black powder only-made in italy- caliber 44, the top of the barrel on the round part is marked R. G. Pioneer Arms. On the barrel just above the serial number are the initals EAP or FAP. The blue is 100% on barrel and cylinder, the case color is 100% on rammer, hammer & trigger. The brass is merely tarnished from storage, the grips have no scratches, chips or dings. The pistol is, of course, unfired. There is no box.

Sorry to be so long getting these, its Saturday and my grandson is here causing confusion.
The Spiller is brand new unfired. It has been in storage for probably 20 years. The finish is as new, the blue has no scratches or flaws. The case color on the trigger and hammer is perfect and bright, there are no scratches on the wood grips. The brass is only slightly dull from handeling.

Trading Post / 2 Confederate revolvers for sale

A good friend has asked me to sell 2 of his guns for him. The first is a Fillipietta Spiller and Burr with a date mark of AS, the second is a puzzle to me, it is for all intents and purposes a G & G except it has a rebated cylinder. It is marked on the top of the barrel "R.G. Pioneer Arms", the date mark is AB. Both of these revolvers are unfired and show no wear but have no boxes. I can provide photos or if someone will remind me how I will post photos.
He wants $200.00 each plus post.

I have just discovered that a new Uberti cylinder will not fit an older Uberti gun, too large to clear the frame.

If you will look under the Dance Bros posting you will find before and after photos of an Pietta Dance confederate revolver that I removed all the Italian marks and aged the finish. On a Dance there is no chance of mistaking them for originals so its safe to do.

General Discussion / New Uberti parts won't fit older Uberti guns

 Part of the guns I have for sale is a Uberti Walker, it is in beautiful condition except for the cylinder and it is very scratched up, I can't imagine how or why. The late owner had gotten a re-placement but it was blue-black rather than charcoal blue. I contacted Cimarron and they were most cordial about exchanging the two for the difference in the cost of charcoal blue and blue-black finish. I recieved it today and it is too large to fit the gun and in looking closely at it I noticed the cylinder scene was not nearly the quality of the one I sent back or the scratched one I have. I contacted Cimarron and they replied immediately that the new Uberti's are laser engraved rather than rolled as were original Colts and earlier Uberti's, also they have modified the scale of their guns and new parts have to be hand fitted rather than just dropping in place, which won't work on pre-finished parts. They were very kind and offered to trade back and I'll only be out postage. Cimarron is great to deal with and I reccommend them highly. I must admit, though, I will not buy Ubetti's sight unseen any more as I definitely do not like the poor cylinder scene engraving on the newer guns.
 Does anyone know who can do a good job of charcoal blueing?

 The only other gun left is a Cimarron open-top, 44C, un-fired, mint in box and I am not sure about shipping on that one. Its a beauty. Retails (not MSRP) for $562. I can take offers on it too.
