Uberti 32WCF
« on: December 09, 2016, 06:16:25 PM »
I thought I had shown you fellers this one before, but I could not find where I had, so here ya go. I have had this one for a long time, since 2003. Got it from Cimarron. I shoot a hand cast 100 grian soft lead round nose out of it powered by a case full of 3F Goex. It groups every bit as good as any of my other Uberti cartridge revolvers. It is also dead on for POI and POA. The bore and cylinder chambers came out very smooth from the factory on this piece.

The bottle neck case of the 32 WCF works well with black powder, as far as blow back fouling goes, because of the better chamber seal. The cases will also last forever when used in a revolver. The 32WCF has a sharp and loud crack to her when you shoot it out of a revolver. Not so much out of a 24 inch rifle barrel. And since the revolver is the same size as the larger calibres, it has a bit of heft to it because of the extra metal left in place from the small diameter reaming of both cylinder and barrel.

I dont shoot it all that much because I have so many other revolvers that draw my attention more so, but when I do, it is a treat. I will get a belt rig set up sometime and start packing it along when I toat my Uberti 1866 Winchester rifle of the same calibre.

Here's some pics

You can take notice that this is the old modle frame. And this one got shipped out with fire blued screw heads in the frame.

The Colt SAA has a style all it's own.

The bottom portion of my little spinner is trying to hide out for the winter

I decided to try and hit the top portion of the spinner with my first shot in order to flip the snow away from the bottom portion so I could see it better. I cracked a round off from 20 yards, and low and behold, it worked. I got tickled with myself and decided to walk up and snap a pic of the fresh lead splat. On rare days, one just seems to be dead on with his shooting right from the beginning.  :)

I did most of my shooting at my square gongs from 40 yards out. Take a full bead, aim at the center, and you get a ring every shot.

Had to include a look see of the fouled exterier of the cylinder that I like so much.

That's the revolver I'm looking for in 44WCF.   Yours is a fine example Scooby and I wish it was mine.   I'm partial to the 7 1/2 inch barrel with the old style frame.   I could order one but the shipping and FFL transfer keeps me from doing it.

I just saw this thread; was going to mention the fact that you seem to like the longer barreled versions. I need to get my lazy butt out and do some winter shooting!

He does appear to enjoy the extended travel versions, with his long guns as well.
I'm much the same with my BP revolvers.
