Couple more flasks
« on: March 16, 2016, 08:10:12 PM »
I was puttering in the basement a couple of days ago and came across these flasks I had nearly forgotten about. First is an original Remington flask that needs help. I have the cut0ff, but it is missing the lever and spring. (Another project?)

This next one is new in the box, a Pedersoli 36 caliber spout. It is marked "intercontinental Arms" and "Made in Italy" on the flask.

This last one is a commemorative flask for the International Muzzleloading Championships held in Washington DC in 1980.

Nice, Mazo! You have one of the better flask collections I've seen online. Maybe you can post that photo again for those who haven't seen it?

A close-up of the embossed design:

This is also new-in-the-box.

Since the good Captain asked, I found the pictures I think was referring to. I have been collecting for more years than many of you have been alive! Photo 1:

These are my better flasks. I do have some others that are in poorer condition....split seams, missing spout, spring, levers, etc. Those were purchased in a lot with others. You take the good with the bad. And that reminds me that I have a couple of shot snakes that I haven't posted yet. I'll take care of that soon.

Mazo.....Fantastic collection. I admire anyone that collects a specific type of item and stick to it. Where do you find these ?
I do have another question or three, after noticing you consider some as projects. I broke the drop valve on my one and only copper flask.
Are parts available ? If so where ?

Hewy, Dixie has a lot of parts for the flasks....spouts, springs, levers, etc.
