twirling
« on: February 14, 2017, 08:21:01 PM »
so i, for some reason, have always been into gun twirling... im actually pretty good at it and can twirl anything with a trigger guard and have even got two full rotational twirls with my .38 double derringer once... well i relearned a valuable lesson today...

Do not twirl a SAA on half cock!!!!

the trigger sits too high from the trigger guard and the trigger will embed itself into your finger and keep going due to momentum and rip a nice big bloody notch in your finger!!!

thankfully it wasnt me this time, but a guy at the gun shop i was at tried to show me how good he could twirl is SAA after watching me twirl my 5.5 remmy .44....

Twirling.....hmmmm, I only twirl over the bed or the couch, after the second go-round, my guns seem to take off like they're self propelled. That is of course after they run into my second finger which always wants to get in on the action LOL. *6'

I'm like Roland...I don't dare twirl without a cushion around and even there only manage to get a few revolutions...I have my best luck with my Remmy and Colt "sheriff" models which seem to be more evenly balanced.

When I was younger I could twirl with the best of them. Used to do it and fire live ammo and most of the time hit what I was shooting at as long as it was five gallon bucket sized at 10 yards or less. Haven't done it in many years.

I'm not much for twirling but if I could spin a 58 Bison I'd want to show off too.
