so i bought an engraved with the naval scene taylors conversion cylinder and an engraved barrel for a pietta 1860 colt in .45lc... i dont own any colts in .44 other than my 3 walkers and 2 C&B 73's... i'm going to build a dual purpose gun again, like my walker, i have some questions and want some suggestions...
will the barrel and cylinder for the 60 fit on a frame for a 51 44?
i'm thinking of getting the thunderer gripped 60 that taylors does with the fluted cylinder and doing something like i did with my walker, having both C&B cylinder and the .45 cylinder and a short and long barrels all for the same gun. i think the thunderer grip would look pretty cool for both variations..
they have one of those thunderer gripped guns in the store in the white and the CCH are on back order...
what do y'all think, thunderer gripped in the white or go with the CCH?
or
a 51 .44 steel frame cut the 51 barrel down like my walker and have the long 60 barrel as the set?
come one guys lets spitball this and see where it lands!!!
