Kirk, it is chambered in 44 WFC.

Hawg, it would appear so looking at the picture, but when you shoulder it, the sling and swivel rests just under the jaw. It could be an issue for some, but that is how they were attatched in the day.

I love that cartridge! Awesome in a lever action. You guys are making think I need to get one!!

It's an awesome round. A bit of a learning experience to reload tho. If you use black there won't be any fouling in the action. Just leave a fired case in the chamber when you clean the bore.

I have a 73 Winchester (Uberti) as does a buddy of mine. Mine is 44-40, his 45 Colt. I only shoot black as does he. I only have to lean my barrel. He had to completely disassemble his rifle and it is absolutely filthy!
