Well, this is not a family portrait. It is difficult to get them all to lie together at one time (such are families these days). Rest assured, they are included in my living will.

Colt Whitneyville Hartford Dragoon .44 Uberti

Colt 1860 Army 4-screw .44 Armi San Marco with original engraved cylinder and a full-fluted cylinder Uberti

Confederate Augusta Machine Works 1851 Navy .36 Pietta (parts gun)

Colt 1851 Navy 4th Model .36 with "orphan" smooth cylinder Pietta and Traditions Pietta

Colt 1851 Navy Second Model Dragoon .36 Pietta (parts gun)

Confederate Schneider & Glassick .36 and Confederate Leech & Rigdon .36 Pietta (parts guns)

Confederate Rigdon & Ansley .36 and Confederate Griswold & Gunnison .36 Pietta (parts guns)

Jim

Both of you have wonderful collections. I'll get mine out and snap a pick in just a bit!

Thanks fellas!

I want to add an orphan to the family created from a turned down 1851 Navy .36 barrel using one of my Pietta 1851 Navy guns. I captured a screen shot from a Forgotten Weapons vid about a Belgian Brevette Colt 1851 Navy engraved gun. I just want a turned down barrel that does not require removal of the front sight nor the load lever latch catch. It will remove any Pietta barrel billboard and the "BP Only" warning. I will have to check with my neighbor machinist as to what he will charge me. If it is inexpensive enough, I will go for it possibly.

If I was a GB jerk I could probably put it up for auction on GB stating that is an unknown Italian replica (with intact proof marks and serial number) and ask over $300 for it as a minimum bid. No one will be the wiser.

You folks probably think I am nuts but here is my next possible barrel project, sans engraving and reblued:

Regards,

Jim

A group photo of a few of the Colts. I've added a few since then.

Oh, and then there's...ahem... 'them other guys'

You guys have some handsome revolvers and a lot of them.

Below is my own little outfit.  They’re all I got in the C&B revolver line.  All are Piettas (say Pie-Eddys).  They date from ‘96 to 2017.  All came from Cabelas except for the Griswold which is from EMF and is the latest acquisition.  Within any 90 day period each one will  get good and dirty.  They’ve all been internally slicked up (after a fashion) and run smooth, lock up tight and have no bolt chew or rings on the cylinder.  As you all do with your own, I have much affection for these guys.  Conspicuous for its absence is a Third Mod Dragoon.  I look forward to remedying that situation - someday soon.

Excellent accumulation of smoke makers G Dog.

I see you have an affinity for the "New Model" Colts, as do I.
