did you ever finish that front sight??? love to see what you did... I am gunna have to tackle mine as well... i have seen several of them done on this site, but have not gotten to mine yet... my conversion is dead on shooting way out there... but up close and personal, it is about 1 foot high...

I think you're referring to my 72 Open Top that I cut the barrel down on. And yes, I did finish the sight on that one. You can see my remedy here.

On this one, someone else cut the barrel down, and they cut a factory style sight channel in the barrel. Sight replacement should be as easy as fashioning a new blade and installing it.

I decided this conversion pistol needed a little dressing up. So I made a set of fossilized mammoth tusk grips. I kinda like the way they turned out.

After much thought and consideration, I decided to put the wood back on the conversion pistol. I really like the way it looks.
