Black Powder accessories
« on: January 06, 2020, 07:28:41 PM »
Here's a few photos of a  a set of BP accessories I made for a member over on the 1858 Remington forum.    Interest in Black powder shooting is pretty low these days.  I don't make as many BP items as I used too but I wish I did.   Black powder shooting is what I prefer and making the things for the BP discipline is what I like to make.

Cartridge Pouch

Polish capper holster

Dual cylinder holder

Powder flask holster

Great looking set Mike. I like the wool in the cartridge pouch. Probably protects the cartridges really well.

Mike, I really like the way you did the holster for the capper. I think I may re-do mine in the same pattern as yours.

Did you have to mold a trough on the backside for the button on the capper? That's how I did mine, so it will slip in and out easier.

Hi Dave,   Yes I molded a channel for the button.  It allows for easy insertion but also keeps from loading a cap into the spout each time you put the capper into the holster.

I am partial to that flask holder. All that I have made never had a strap to secure them.

Me too!  Handsome leather there, Mike.

Hi Scooby -- I saved a well done pic of yours showing that particular strapless flask holder with a CS cap pouch and a single loop holster.  Those were the  parts of your nice rig for a Griswold.  It seemed as if you had raided Cabellas for some useful loot.  Good photo and outfit.
