Heads up on brasser 51 Navies
« on: January 27, 2020, 08:42:32 PM »
To All
EMF, Has brass frame  51 Navies with 7 1/2 in BBls, .44 cal, with an extra cylinder, For $180.00. I talked to a sales rep there, When I ordered one, about the cyls, and he Told me they are not scroll marked, they are plane. He said they were all late model manufacture, cause I asked him about the grip shape.
Not a bad deal if you are looking for a brasser, in .44 cal.

Hello All

Well I picked up one of the .44 Brasser 51 Navies.. It is a real nice pistola, action is real smooth, and the cylinder locks up tight. Grips are nice, and fit real well. It came with a spare smooth cylinder. The nipples in the cylinders came out with just a little effort, I guess they got rid of Gonzo the Gorilla who use to install them. The piece was made in 2019. It also has the newer style grip frame, which I like, it fits my hand a lot better.
The new Piettas  made with the CNC machines, are very nice guns. Pietta has  come a long way with them.
I'll try and post some pics tomorow.

You're right about Pietta quality. It's come a long way for sure.

Yours sounds like a real nice pistol. Can't wait to see the pictures.

Im a little late, but heres pics of the Pietta 1851 Brasser in .44 cal, with extra c.44 cyl. The fit and finnish is out standing, the arbor length is right  on.  Wood fit is excellent. The action is smooth, and it locks up tight.  I think it was a very good deal @ $180.00.
Here it is with its .44 51 sheriff  model, and holster, I am just finnishing. I put one of the cyls from the Brasser (plain) in the Sheriff, the Sheriffs was roll engraved.
