No, the screw didn't go all the way through and neither does the dowel. This old girl still has most of her "battle scars" so this is just another character mark.

And so it stays as is. Had a bit of a set-back today. As I was putting the butt stock back on for a final assembly, I accidentally lost control and broke off the other side of the stock at the tang. It is glued up now and I should have everything ready to go tomorrow. Will need a bit of TruOil rubbed in again though.

I glued the original piece back on. Loaded up a few brass shells too.

Six coats of hand-rubbed TruOil. Very plain grain, just wanted to show the difference between when I started.

Well, I'm calling it done; the more I play around the worse it looks! At least it is a sound gun and I will be getting to shooting it one of these fine days.
