Uberti Navy with Johnson & Dow bullets
« on: March 01, 2020, 04:14:42 PM »
On the same day I got the Pickett bullets for my Walker's I also got some of these .36 caliber Johnson & Dow bullets. These were shot with loose powder and performed very well. I did not shoot very many since I want to try some in paper cartridges. Here is my Uberti 1851 Navy and a 15 yard target.

I could be wrong but I don't believe Johnston and Dow bullets are available in .36 cal.  The .36 cal bullets that Mark Hubbs sells are from the Colt Cartridge Works design or the Richmond Laboratories design.   The Colt Cartridge Works design is similar to the Johnston and Dow bullets.

(For what it's worth.....   there is a "T" in the name Johnston and Dow.    Ask me how I know.)

Thanks for the info. Yes they have to be the Colt Cartridge Works because I know they are not the Richmond confederate bullets. For some reason I was thinking Johnston & Dow.

That my fault lonesome pigeon. I refered to them as "Johnston & Dow" instead of the proper name of  "Colt Cartridge Works"
