Son-in law shooting 12ga
« on: August 28, 2020, 10:03:40 AM »
Hi, yesterday my son-in-law came out to do some shotgun shooting. We shoot from my deck using a Champion automatic clay thrower. The shotgun being used is a Mossberg 930 semi-auto shotgun. After a dozen misses, my son-in-law was about to give up. I encouraged him to keep trying. Glad I did. Soon he was hitting every clay thrown and did hit every clay of the last 25 rounds. The grin on his head could have split the top of his head off. What a great day!!!

It's as good as it gets having others learn the shooting sports. !!!!!!!!!

Regards,
Richard

Great work Richard.

It's always satisfying to see a newcomer enjoy themselves.

Good for you Richard! I need more practice as I have progressed from mediocre to barely fair.

Good for you Richard! I am guessing that training like that is not done nearly as much these days as opposed to back in the late 60's when I was taught wingshooting on a skeet range. IMO, skeet is the most fun you can have with your clothes on!

Jim

Hi Jim, I have little doubt that shooting clays is the sport of kings. My son-in-law is still wearing a wide grin. He was shooting much better than me which is great. I am so blessed living in the county where we can shoot any time we choose.

Regards,
Richard
