Those have character. Thanks for sharing the photo of them. Do you have a photo of one of the conchos?
I had one laying on the bench for the longest time. I went down and reached out my hand to where it was....our poltergeist seems to have struck again. He (my daughter in law has communicated with him) just loves to play tricks on me. I also had one with the bear paw stamp I had made, but can't seem to find where I put them for "safe keeping".  L@J Here is a large one in the process:

My smaller conchos are about 1" in diameter, but can be made pretty much any size.

I made some buttons from nickels one time. I used a large ball bearing and a piece of wood gouged out like you did. They came out fine but were a bit thick to work with.

I did find an early one, not too decorative. I wish I could find my bear paw stamp and conchos!
