Bore Butter.  Works with real BP and those wannabees (T7, APP, Pinnacle)

+1 on the bore butter. Remoil is petroleum based and petroleum and BP don't do so well together. Stick with all natural stuff.   :-*

I use Lubriplate AA650 or white lithium grease.

I don't use 777 so I can't give a specific recommendation.  I use Mobil 1 for my open tops when using black powder.  It works well enough for me.

If you don't care if it is period correct, then +1 on the Mobil 1 synthetic grease. A tube will last you almost forever! I shoot the real black powder and I really like the lube in my revolvers!

Since he is using a synthetic powder, I thought a good synthetic lube would be appreciated.  Actually, I use it with BP and have no problems.

Hi bigal, I don't like thick grease on base pins or cylinder arbors. Grease holds the fouling and creates a gooey mess. Ballistol works very well for me using BP or BP substitutes. Ballistol is also water miscible, an advantage when cleaning.
