Yard work, Shed work, Antique Car work.
And hung out with this guy.....

That sounds like a great day to me!

I miss working on antique cars.

Yep. That stupid Zip Gun killed USFA. Too bad too, their SAA's are gorgeous. Even the lower end guns.

Watch the Gun Jesus video about that little .22 if you want some entertainment. What an utter piece of garbage.

In my 1860 I generally fire full house loads. 30gr of 3F. My gun likes it and shoots it great. Plus, I'm a big fan of smoke and fire. And now that the gun has been Goonerized, I'm sure it can handle just about anything.

who don't like sendin big ol 44 conicals  over as much 3F as can be squeezed under em zippin down range.

Doc, he likes those wimpy mouse fart loads.  (7+"
That is accurate.
To each, their own.

Sure, everyone likes to torch off a full-house load now and again.
I do the same with my .44 magnum loads. But my standard range load is far below what the factory loads. Why? Because I can actually hit what I'm aiming at, I can fire 100 rounds instead of 50 or less, and I save a ton of powder and wear and tear on the gun.
My most accurate BP gun and load is my Pietta Target Remmy with 22gr of 3F

Doc, I'm glad you resolved your issues, but......you shouldn't have to trouble shoot a new gun!

Wow! That is a great Turnbull job! Mine is pretty, but not that pretty! I think Turnbull finished the high end guns.

Nice going Mike. Glad to see your humble even in being proved correct. Good on ya Brother!

Havn't always seen eye to eye wit ya but do respect your work and willingness to help a feller out.

Doc, glad you got some bit of tinkerin in and a happy result. Bettin this issue will never bog you down again.

These "new" revolvers will have ruined tolerances just about in the last place ya'd expect. These-uns will make ya awfull fond of your guns after all the foolin with em. After "fixin" em they become more than just another acquisition. Now ya got blood, sweat n tears involved.

You are correct in all accounts.
