Title: Old South Firearms powder flask
Post by: ssb73q on June 21, 2014, 08:52:17 AM
Hi, I recently purchased a powder flask from Old South Firearms that is pretty nice for the money, see:

The powder horn is real Buffalo and has a nice valve. While designed to throw ~70gr BP for rifles, the spout can be cut down to throw lesser amounts. The spout valve is a standard size thread that allows use of other spouts.

The flask arrived with a little slopped on epoxy on the valve, but it was very easy to clean off.

I recommend this flask for charging your 1851s and 1860s.

Regards,
Richard
