Hi, I was in my local gun store today and he had a used Winchester Model 12 in very good condition for sale for $350. What do you think, is it worth the price?

depending on condition, 350 is a decent price...

thats my model 12 in the video

If it's a pre 64 it's not going to sell for $350. 00. It would be over $1,000.00.

all model 12s are pre-64, winchester stopped making the model 12 in 64...

Remington / Re: Get the rope
« on: December 01, 2019, 10:21:38 AM »
Ummmm……  I think Richard owns more Remington revolvers than any of the rest of us.    This could be a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Hi Mike, gee, I only own sixteen Remington revolvers. However, it's fair that you call me pot.  *6' *6' *6'

IMO the New Model Remington (1858) is in many ways a superior BP revolver than any of the percussion Colts. The Colts win the "Beauty is only skin deep" contest. I fell for the beauty big time in that I have many times more Colts than Remingtons.

Did I slip the rope?

dang, got me beat by 3... i have 13 remingtons and one colt... my walker

General Discussion / Re: BP revolver for self defense??
« on: September 27, 2019, 05:52:13 PM »
In the vid Bellevue talks about using a C&B for carry / self defense in those jurisdictions that don’t allow the use / carry / possession of modern arms.  We hear this a lot from many sources but it‘s never stated just where this has application.  Excepting Europe, what U.S. State or jurisdiction allows a C&B but disallows a citizen from having a modern pistol or revolver?

i know in md a c&b revolver is just considered a deadly weapon as opposed to a "firearm" but only if its loaded with powder, ball and capped... if you leave the caps off there is no law stopping you from carrying one openly (not concealed) same for antique guns and long guns, no law against open carry as long as it isnt loaded... but the bolsheviks cops will have a field day with you if you try it...

A 92 without the forearm which makes it look like a 92 without a forearm. The 92 doesn't remotely resemble a Henry.
