Off-Topic Discussion / Christmas shopping
« on: December 09, 2019, 09:44:38 AM »
Husband and Wife are Christmas Shopping at a busy shopping mall just before Christmas. The wife suddenly noticed that her husband was missing and as they had a lot to do, so she called him on his cell.
The wife said " Where are you, you know we have lots to do."
He said "You remember the jewelers we went into about 10 years ago, and you fell in love with that diamond necklace? I could not afford it at the time and I said that one day I would get it for you?"
Little tears started to flow down her cheek and she got all
choked up…
"Yes, I do remember that shop." she replied.
"Well, I am in the gun shop next door to that."

Gun company cuts ties with reality TV star.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -- A firearms company affiliated with reality TV star Will Hayden
is distancing itself from him after his arrest on rape charges.

In a statement on its website, Red Jacket Firearms LLC says it has legally separated from Hayden.

The Baton Rouge-based company says it will remain in business.

The Discovery Channel canceled "Sons of Guns" after Hayden's arrest on Tuesday. Discovery says it killed the show due to "the serious and horrific nature of the charges" against Hayden. The show featured Hayden and his firearms business.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office says Hayden was arrested on aggravated rape charges involving a child. He already faced child molestation and aggravated crime against nature charges.

It wasn't immediately clear whether Hayden had an attorney.

Red Jacket Firearms

Red Jacket Firearms LLC. has initiated and received full legal separation as an entity, from William M. Hayden.

With heavy hearts, we will be continuing to operate and ensure the fulfillment of new customer orders, back orders and to provide support to those affected by these new developments. At The Range! / I finally shot my Uberti 1860.
« on: December 02, 2013, 05:40:53 PM »
Well, I finally shot my new Uberti 1860 that I got just before Halloween. I was over at my sister and brother in laws, her kids and family this past Saturday, 11/30/2013, and I took my 1860 with me. After we chowed down on a feast of vittles, my brother in law, nephew, and I went out and shot the new gun. ((For those of you who know, the Uberti '58 Remington I had delivered on Halloween day of 2012, I still ain't shot yet.))
It shot pretty good, but those darned caps keep gettin' stuck and I can't cycle the cylinder. In other words, I couldn't cock the gun. Now I see why I like Remingtons.

But here's a picture of the target. All shots but one hit the paper, and my shot came the closest to the center bull.  I only loaded and shot twice, so there are 11 hits on the target.

Army Models / How do I get the barrel off?
« on: November 14, 2013, 12:03:34 PM »
The Uberti 1860 that I bought last month has a tight fitting barrel assembly. I can get the wedge out with no problem, but I can't get the barrel assembly off. I want to clean the cylinder out and check the nipples before I shoot it, but the barrel assembly is real tight and it won't come off.  I was thinking of cleaning it the best I can, loading it up and shooting it some and hope that the shooting will loosen it enough so that I can remove the barrel. I put the hammer on half cock, and try to use the loading lever to help in removing the barrel, but it's not coming off. How do I get it off? Any ideas?
