Watched this one on Amazon the other day. It's pretty good. They do use brass framed 60 Army's, but at least they're C&B. They also load the cylinders off the guns, and even do a couple cylinder swaps for reloading. Even with that, it was still entertaining.

After much thought and consideration, I decided to put the wood back on the conversion pistol. I really like the way it looks.

Sometimes the clothes bug me more than the guns.

I agree with this.

Not every dude in the 19th century dressed like James Arness. Maybe even nobody.

I think this is a great idea. I always like making what I need over buying it. Self reliance is a virtue.

I anxiously await your results.

That's very interesting. So that shell is probably from the early 30's then?

Thanks Steve. I intend to do just that, including a Walker. I call myself a Colt cap n' ball enthusiast, yet I don't have a Walker.

Oh the shame!  ^j)

I watched it the other night too Hawg. And I found all the same problems you did, plus a few more. A lot of the rifles were 73 Winchesters.

When I first saw it advertised, I was excited. Then like you said, "Nevada, 1870" popped up on the screen, so I was really excited. I thought "Oh cool, it will be C&B guns. Then the very next scene he pulls out the nickel SAA's and I was instantly not interested anymore. Then after about the 5th mysterious change of guns, I nearly turned it off.

Walkers & Dragoons / 3rd Model Dragoon

I've had this one for a while, and somehow neglected to post it. My apologies.

This is my "Alaskan Dragoon". So called because I got it in a trade with Mark up in Alaska.

It is an ASM of 1977 vintage. I really like this one because it's a little different. Instead of the usual U.S.M.R. marked cylinder, this one has the less often seen U.S. Dragoons cylinder. It's pretty neat. It also has the earlier style latch for the lever.

My favorite is the 1860 Army. All day, every day. But I'm really becoming partial to the Dragoons. They fit my big ham hands really well, and they're fun to shoot. Now I need one of each Model.

Here it is with my 1972 vintage ASM with the shoulder stock cutouts and 3 leaf sight.

Kinda cool having a brace of these bad boys.
