Good score, Fingers!  I have every Confederate replica except the LeMat, but I can't justify $1,000+ for one.

You are correct, the cylinder engraving detracts from the authenticity, but I have hesitated to remove it for fear of screwing up the cylinders.  Since they are fairly rare maybe I should just leave them alone.

Top to bottom:  a Luciano Giacosa (GLB) imported by EIG Cutley of Miami, FL, dated 1966; a Pietta by swapping the barrel assemblies between a Griawold & Gunnison and an 1851 Navy; a Riva Esterina imported by FIE and dated 1975; and a Fusav di Bini & Baronio dated 1978.

Jim:  Here is a picture of my Dance revolver (top) with the .36 cal. cylinder/barrel installed from my Griswold & Gunnison.  On the bottom is one of my 1851 Navies with the Dance .44 cal. cylinder/barrel installed.  They both fit ok and there is enough clearance.  They do not, however, cycle correctly.  I think the hands would have to be swapped to make them run right.  Hope this helps.

Hi Jim.  I'm the one that posted a picture of a .36 cal. Dance.  I created it by exchanging the .44 cal. cylinder and barrel with a cylinder and barrel from my G & G.  The frames are the same.  The cylinder and water table are not rebated, same as the original.

Here are my two Schneider & Glassicks.  The top one was made in 1978 by Fusav di & Baronio.  The bottom one was made in 1975 by Pierino Ruschetta.

Welcome Wagon / Hello from Central Florida!

Became interested in percussion revolvers a couple of years ago.  Since then, have collected a few replicas to go with my two originals.  Shooting the repros is a blast.  Anybody else in central Florida have this addiction?
