Cartridge boxes

Buffalo Arms is offering period-correct cartridge boxes for those who load and shoot Cowboy rounds:

I think they look pretty cool. Might have to try some out. Available in a variety of calibers, including .44-40WCF as shown here.

Those look pretty nice. I'll be ordering some in 44-40 and .45 Colt.

Thanks for the heads up Capt.

I have a bunch of them. Note that there are no dividers for 44/45 pistol cattridge boxes. Also, if you order any  rifle boxes, they come in one size fits all. In other words, 30 WCF is quite undersized for the box, being that the same box also has to accommodate 45-70.

Hmmm, that's something to think about Scooby.

I'll at least order one just to display with all my gun stuff.

I became aware of these from a You-Tuber who was using them for .44-40. He staggered the cartridges nose down/nose up, nose down etc and it seems they would stay in place as long as the box is full.
Like Dave said, it's more for looks anyway, or for a display.

You can get a period rifle box and replace the divider with a piece of 2x4 with the appropriate size holes drilled into it.

It's not a true period box if it doesn't have double flaps.
