IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE!

*/)   */)
Not exactly a "rare or valuable", but certainly "collectible" in my eyes...
My new (to me) Second Dragoon, or the Artist Formerly Known As Prince Joaquin Murietta by it's PO...
Yes. The Now-Famous Twelve Dollar Revolver has arrived fresh from the skilled hands of no other than our own .45 Dragoon with A Fistful of Dollars ...er, modifications...to make it One Cool Hombre!
This gun is so many shades of cool I can't believe it! My mind was all full of things I was gonna do to it; cleaning, polishing, touching up the bluing...but now that I've seen the darn thing I don't want to even TOUCH it! It has that weather-worn saddle tramp look, much like an original survivor might. The silver plating on the backstrap and trigger guard is worn through to the underlying brass in most areas. The grip is chipped and dinged and has the initials "JAS" inscribed in an oval, looking much like an inspector's cartouche. The muzzle and cylinder both have scratched and worn-to-metal areas from some previous escapades, of which I can envision many stories and tall tales. In short, this one has been "rode hard and put away wet"...and I LOVE IT! :) If I want a showpiece I can play with my other "twin brother" 2nd Dragoon; a Uberti that looks like it just came from the factory. This one....this one has CHARACTER.
The Goon really worked it over as well. It has:
1) the famous Goon cap rake installed
2) the soft ASM wedge replaced with a good, hard Uberti wedge
3) tuned main and combo springs, bolt block and action stop
4) clearanced hammer (to expose more of the roller, which wasn't...)
5) adjustable wedge bearing
6) de-burred frame interior
7) hardened and flame colored screws
8) polished cylinder ratchet
9) a removable hammer cam
10) trigger engagement set to positive from neutral
11) hand spring replaced with a coil spring and plunger a la Ruger (or Pettifogger's mod in his "Open Range" article
It's a piece of work, I tell ya!
This is one cool hoss pistol, boys.
Thanks to Krylandalian (at Colt Country) for supplying it, and Mike (Goon) for tweaking it! )  :)
I will get some pix up here as soon as I can.

Thanks! Not all "collectibles" have to be of high value. This was the cheapest gun I ever bought....twelve bucks! (!!!!!)  ^") There's something about the older imports I really like.
