2nd vs 3rd Generation Walker bullet molds
« on: February 16, 2018, 04:29:50 PM »

Can one of you experts tell me how to tell the difference between a 2nd gen Walker mold and a 3rd generation.

To me both look exactly like and are marked like the original. I realize a 2nd generation mold is extremely rare.

2nd Gen - single cavity bow legged body with colts patent stamped in an oval football shape.

3rd Gen - Single cavity straight legged body with an engraved and gold washed facsimile of Sam Colt's signature

Thanks for the reply. the one I have has all of the correct Colt markings however it is straight legged. It has no signature.

Must be a 3rd that the signature got missed.
