I like the wood!

I have always been a sucker for nice wood, and that is usually the first thing I notice about any gun. I "blame" it all on my Dad as he had many catalogs from E.C. Bishop and Reinhardt Fajen back in the 60's. Back then Warsaw MO seemed to be the hub for all manner of walnut, maple, and other scarce wood.

Regards,

Jim

It is definitely one of "the" 35 revolvers marked DANCE FIREARMS CO. - ANGLETON, TEXAS. It is the first one I have seen with with all of the barrel makings not infilled in white.

The seller's barrel photo are very dark so I massaged this one to allow the barrel-top markings to show.

Just this morning I believe I have found SN C00017; I have asked the owner to send me some photos.

That makes 5 out of 35. Only 30 left to go.  8)

Regards,

Jim

Really glad you ended up with that Dance Fingers.

Jim, I am pretty sure the white filled stamping is done by a previous owner. A lot of collectors use a piece of chalk, and rub it on the markings so they stand out. They use chalk because it is easily removed and doesn't harm the gun in any way, but it makes the markings easy to read. I have seen a ton of antique guns done like that.
