Greetings all. I've had a summer like no other (haven't we all?) and I haven't had a chance to meet y'all yet. I'm more of a musket enthusiast with a modest collection of Civil War originals and reproductions. I bought my first BP revolver, an Uberti 1861 Colt Navy for my wife a couple of years ago and when I was looking for an Army model for myself I learned of the Davis collection at October Country. Mr. Padberg told me about the 1860 Colt and kindly let me buy it (thanks, Jim) instead of picking it up for himself. Jim, I truly am grateful for your advice about the gun. It has become a new treasure.

Glad to have you aboard Kim. Lots of invaluable information here, and a great bunch of guys too. If you need anything, just holler.

By the way, if you like muskets and other BP guns, you should check out our sister site over at Colt Country. There's a link to it at the top of the main page. A lot of the same fellas over there, but it's more of a shooters forum, versus the collector side over here. We talk about all things black powder over there.

Wherever you feel the most comfortable, welcome to the family!

Thanks to all! I've been more interested in muskets until now, but y'all may have got me hooked. I just have to find affordable pieces.
