« on: September 02, 2020, 12:51:52 AM »
Mating the barrel assembly of an old COM made G&G to the frame of an old Uberti Colt 1851 Navy.
Contouring of the frame and assembly of the semi finished piece.

Very nice, LJW! Are you going to shorten the barrel as per your example?

Thanks for the interest, pards.
Barrel will stay 7,5" as is.
Actually two Dance & Brothers are in the making because we have two old round barrel assemblies from COM in the junk box but four old Uberti 1851 Navies.
The other two Ubertis will be made into historically correct Leech & Rigdons.
Their ocatogon barrels will be turned round, the cylinder engraving removed and proper finish applied.

Well, I am just the "messager" and project manager, so to speak.
The man who is executing these four projects is Karl Nedbal from Vösendorf nr. Vienna in Austria.
Karl is the gentleman who built most of my Centaure conversions.
Kudos to Karl Nedbal!
