I bought it several years ago off the dude that ran the original Black Powder Times. He told me he thought it was a Pedersoli and from his pics you couldn't tell it was an FAP double stamp but the price was low enough it didn't tick me off that it wasn't. Dr Davis wanted to buy it for his museum but I declined saying it was too good of a shooter to let go of and I don't think I've shot it since.

Rare enough that Dr. Davis didn't know Pioneer imported any. A Pietta .36 navy made in 76 and imported by Pioneer Arms.

FAP double stamped.

The frame is turning a nice plum color but it only shows up in bright light.

I've had them as tight as .004 Most run from .006-.008, .012 is not unreasonable. .018 is.
