Can someone tell me the nipple thread size, length etc. spec that I need to put new nipples on an old 1960's Navy Arms revolver marked with the GU on the barrel?
I found these two forum threads...
https://www.thefirearmsforum.com/threads/nipple-size-needed-for-my-1858-remington-army.171623/https://1858remington.com/discuss/index.php/topic,11057.0.html1) those two threads seem to indicate what the old GU nipple size was M6.0 x .75Th and .500" long overall.
2) As opposed to the current Pietta size which they use now M6.0 x.75Th and .520" long overall.
3) As also opposed to the current Uberti size M5.5 x .9 Th. x .501 Long overall (a.k.a. #12 x 28Th x .501" long overall)
Track of the Wolf sells 1) , 2), 3) and many many more sizes.
Can anyone confirm that GU back in the 1960's used thread size 1) ?
